Journey – Routing

The fastest way to get to our ski area by car is via the Brennerautobahn. Get off at the Brixen / Bressanone Toll-Gate and drive into the Puster Valley towards Bruneck / Brunico and Innichen / San Candido. Just before Bruneck / Brunico (right after you've driven across the Rienz River), turn right towards Bruneck West / Tauferer Ahrn Valley). Right after the exit turn left and drive under the bridge towards Bruneck / Brunico. At the big roundabout drive towards Tauferer Ahrn Valley / Pfalzen. After about 1 km / 0,6 miles, turn right and drive across the Ahr River (not at the first wooden bridge, at the second bridge). Drive on the Bruneck Nord bypass until you come to the roundabout. Then turn left into the Tauferer Ahrn Valley and stay on the main road. Shortly before Mühlen in Taufers / Molini di Tures, bear left at the intersection and drive through Mühlen / Molini di Tures on the main road. 1,2 miles past Sand in Taufers / Campo Tures, the main road goes to Ahrn Valley, right past the Valley Station.

If you're coming from Innichen / San Candido (e.g. Tauernautobahn), take the Bruneck Ost exit. In Bruneck / Brunico turn right towards Tauferer Ahrn Valley (there's a small gas station on the right-hand side) and stay on the main road.

Your destination when traveling here by train is Bruneck / Brunico. The north / south railroad line goes via Innsbruck, Brenner, Bozen / Bolzano. You usually have to change train in Franzensfeste / Fortezza. The east / west railroad line goes via Lienz, Innichen / San Candido, Franzensfeste / Fortezza. Once in Bruneck / Brunico, you can then either take the bus, which usually leaves directly from the railway station, or take a taxi. Larger hotels often offer a free pick-up service (for more informations ask the hotel where you're going to). It is feasible to wait approximatively up to 1 hour in Franzensfeste / Fortezza for the train connection. If you need, a continuation of your journey to Puster Valley (get off in Bruneck / Brunico) is also possible by bus. Those who would like to come here using public means of transport only, should plan their departure in such a way as to arrive in Franzensfeste / Fortezza in the early afternoon as there's practically no public transportation into Ahrn Valley in the evening nor at night.

The closest airport is located in Bozen / Bolzano (about 90 km). However, the airports in Innsbruck (about 150 km), in Verona (about 200 km) and in Munich (about 250 km) are flown to more regularly.
